Cauvery College, Gonikoppal is a recognized study centre of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). It is playing a vital role in distance education. This study centre is established on 10-06-2002.

To  promote education for  the needy and help them fulfill their dreams

The activities begin from July and Examinations are conducted in the month of May/June. The activities involved are:

• Collection of prospectus from the University and its distribution
• Giving awareness to the local candidates by publicity regarding the availability of the prospectus through Akashvani and local reputed news papers
• Remitting the weekly prospectus amount to the KSOU account
• Help the students in enrollment to the University
• Conducting Induction program for the I year  students
• Conducting contact classes for the I and II BA students from our qualified faculties
• Providing books from the Library for reference
• Conducting crash courses to the students for their queries
• Collecting assignments of I, II and III BA/BCom students and evaluating them by our faculties and submitting the Internal assessment marks to the University before conducting the year end examinations.

In 2009-10 academic year total 102 prospectus were sold. And 2010-11 academic year 75 students, during 2011-12 academic year 93 students have enrolled from this study centre, to KSOU.
